PingOne is a cloud based single sign-on (SSO) solution that allows users to sign on to all of their apps with just one username and password. If you use Active Directory then you can use the PingOne AD Conniect Utility to establish SSO between MediaCore and your Active Directory. It will allow you to manage your users and have them sign into MediaCore with the same username and password they use everywhere else within your institution.
We must first configure PingOne on the MediaCore end before you can get started. If you're interested in using PingOne please contact us. Once we've completed the configuration on our end you just need to complete three more steps to get up and running with PingOne SSO.
Step 1 - Register for PingOne
Please visit https://admin.pingone.com/web-portal/register. Select “PingOne for Enterprise” as the account type and entering PingForMediaCore_FP as your registration key.
Step 2 - Install the AD Connector
From your PingOne dashboard, navigate to Setup and select PingOne for Enterprise as the method. Click the Setup button and on the next page you can download the AD Connect utility and configure your Org ID and Product Key.
You will then have to install AD Connect on a Windows Server host. They have a full integration guide with screenshots and a video walk-through.
Step 3 - Connect to the MediaCore Application from your PingOne account
